Emerald City is a conceptual line of seven shoes, designed collaboration with Danish fashion designers Mark Kelly Tan Domino and Johanne Dindler, for ECCO shoes. The footwear draws inspiration from the conflict between an imaginative childish self, and the more constrained role that that must be taken on by adults. Classic styling, modern athletic materials, and fantastical visual elements guided our designs. The final collection was meant to serve as inspiration for ECCO’s internal design team; our process included visits to ECCO’s headquarters and prototyping center in Denmark.
Emerald City was a true collaboration between multiple designers, aesthetics, processes, and disciplines. My role included Concept Development, Design Illustration, and Prototyping.
